The Objective

As few special facilities as possible, as many special facilities as necessary!

Special room and hygiene needs can require special facilities (WC facilities, barriers, emergency telephone facilities and lift facilities in public areas).

Lock up as little as possible, lock up as much as necessary!

Misuse and endangering of the users and facilities require the key (e.g. a stair lift as a public plaything is always defective).

If there has to be a key, then one for the whole of Europe!

Invented in Germany in 1986 by CBF, introduced in Switzerland in 1996 by ASKIO (now AGILE) and reorganised and cared for by PRO INFIRMIS since 2000.

Out of respect for the right to autonomy

The key is issued exclusively to disabled users and not to temporary accompanying persons or institutions.
